It was the cameras from these systems that received awards for the best photographic equipment, the best innovation. In the list of the best in their categories, TIPA did not find a place for a single SLR this year, just like EISA last year. In any case, could you name any new model that has caught your attention over the past year? I do not think so. The latest DSLRs that Canon and Nikon brought to market were the Nikon D780 and Canon EOS 850D, which took place in 2020. Other companies such as Fujifilm, Panasonic or OM (formerly Olympus) have been making only mirrorless cameras for a long time.
Many professionals still use DSLRs, just as movies are still often shot on film rather than digital cameras. However, in the latter case, justification by the best parameters of the film material makes more sense than in the case of digital cameras. Only optical viewfinders can convince DSLRs, but also in situations where the photographer doesn’t really like looking at the electronic display. Other DSLR features have long been used by mirrorless cameras.

In this comparison, only the last point is the camera, which is compact, but in this case it is a consequence of fate. In addition, it is a compact with a 1-inch sensor, which, however, means that it offers decent image quality in an ultra-compact size.

There were other categories, including as many as three smartphones.
The TIPA awards, unlike the EISA awards that were presented a few months later, have a wider range of thematic awards, although all of them are related to photography in one way or another. The remaining categories are software and accessories, including the best smartphones according to TIPA. Three separate categories are reserved for them. Winners are expected. At least in the first two. This:

Not all award-winning products need to please you and be easily available in Polish stores. However, if you find yourself at a crossroads when choosing a new photo equipment, choosing TIPA 2022 can be a good piece of advice.
